Company “Recultivation and Land Planting” Ltd. was established by decision of Management board of Serbian Electrical industry and the Government of Republic of Serbia as isolated supporting activities of public enterprises “Thermo power station Kostolac” and public enterprise “ Surface excavation site” Kostolac on 25th of September in 2004. Company employs 34 employees with full time jobs and ten seasonal workers.

Main activity of the company is recultivation and land planting of rigid soil tailings and ash dumps developed as a result of energetic capacity work of Kostolac Basin. One of the activities is to maintain green surfaces, maintenance and decoration of interior and exterior botanic interiors, nursery production and decorating and parks woods nursery, production of healthy food and greenhouse – glass reproducing constructions. Our special role is to return and recover tailings and their biological recultivation.

Company has long year tradition in the energetic Kostolac basin. The first organizational activity of our company was marked in the far 1968 year when working unit was formed within Production-repair department, today’s PRIM. Four years later, in 1972 working unit was isolated from PRP and joined to surface excavation site Kostolac. As an independent company within combine RIO it became on the 1st of January 1978 in organizational sense as Basic organization of joined work. Company finished its existence in the centralization of Electrical industry in 1992 and became work unit again, fragmented into Public Enterprise Thermo power station and Public Enterprise Surface excavation site and within these units in Drmno, Kostolac and Cirkovac. It stopped development of the enterprise and activity was minimized to objective legal necessities.

Enterprise restoration again gathered most of old staff and developing plans having new seal of time that we live in, ecological initiative and European regulations in the area of ecology and electrical industry. Of course that basic sense is to have market business and to make our company profitable and professional, qualitative in technology to perform our mission in ecology and protection of healthier work and living spaces.

During its independent operation, the company Recultivation and land planting reforested, recultivated and arranged parks spaces on more than 17.000 hectares. Nearly 15 million seedlings were planted and more than 1.400 hectares of tailings is back to agriculture again.
